The Cabinet of the Former President of the Republic of the North Macedonia Mr.Branko Crvenkovski and Podgorica Club on 4th of June 2019 at Hotel Double Tree by Hilton in Skopje organized a Regional conference “EU enlargement at crossroads”.
Supporting the accession of the WB countries to the EU is one of the cornerstones of the Podgorica Club policy processes, aimed at defining a common “Western Balkans Vision 2030” and “New Narrative for Western Balkans”. Members of the Podgorica Club, founded in Podgorica on 1st of February 2019, are former presidents and prime ministers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.
At the conference, beside the president Crvenkovski as a host, the other speakers were: the former Presidents of Albania Alfred Moisiu and Rexhep Meidani, the former President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic, the former President of Kosovo Fatmir Sejdiu, the former Prime minister of Croatia Jadranka Kosor and the former President of Croatia Stjepan Mesic, the former President of Slovenia Danilo Turk, the former Prime minister of Serbia Mirko Cvetkovic and the former Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina ZLatko Lagumdzija. The conference was opened with welcome address by the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr.Stevo Pendarovski. Ambassadors, representatives from business community and NGO’s were invited as guests.
The members of Podgorica club adopted a Joint Declaration on the importance of adopting positive decisions at the forthcoming Council meetings, addressed to high–level EU officials.
